UN-Arab League envoy Lakhdar Brahimi has told reporters the latest round of Syrian peace talks has made little progress.
Brahimi said on February 11 that this week's talks have been "as laborious" as the first week of talks last month.
Representatives of Syria's government and opposition met face-to-face on February 11, but opposition spokesman Louay Safi said government representatives continue to insist talks should focus on halting "terrorism," a term Syrian authorities have used for all Syrian rebel groups.
Brahimi appealed for all parties to "help Syria out of the nightmare its people have been living through now for three years."
Meanwhile, the evacuation of civilians from Homs, one of the few points representatives in Geneva have been able to agree upon, was suspended on February 11 due to the need to clear barriers blocking vehicle access to the city.
