Evgeny Tishchenko of Russia (left) and Vassiliy Levit of Kazakhstan box in the men's heavyweight final. The judges awarded Tishchenko the gold in a unanimous decision that was met with booing from the crowd. 

Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas dives over the finish line to win the gold in the women's 400-meter. The dive was a legal move that gave the runner an advantage of a fraction of a second.

Sanne Wevers of the Netherlands competes in the women's balance beam final.

Ruslan Nurudinov, known as the "Pride of Uzbekistan," won gold in the men's 105-kilogram division, delivering his country its first-ever Olympic medal in weightlifting.
