Slain Bulgarian Journalist Mourned At Vigil

Hundreds of people attended an October 8 vigil in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, to honor slain television journalist Viktoria Marinova. Police said Marinova was killed in a brutal attack two days earlier in which she was beaten, raped, and strangled. Authorities said they were investigating the killing, and it was not yet clear if the attack was related to Marinova's work as a journalist.
