Bulgarian boxer Kubrat Pulev had his boxing license reinstated by the California State Athletic Commission on July 22.

He was suspended in May after he coercively kissed female reporter Jennifer Ravalo two months earlier after knocking out Romania's Bodgan Dinu in Costa Mesa, California.

"Pulev grabbed Ravalo's face in his hands and kissed her during an interview," Reuters reported.

Known as "The Cobra," the 38-year-old native of Sofia had his suspension lifted by a 6-0 vote after he completed a course on sexual harassment and prevention and paying a $2,500 fine.

During the hearing he apologized to Ravalo.

"I'm very sorry for this kiss…because it was my mistake, 100 percent," Pulev said.

In a statement, Ravalo said she had been "publicly shamed nonstop...by Team Pulev" and his promotion company, Top Rank, since the encounter in March.

"I am being blamed by a man who cannot control himself," Ravalo said.
