MONDAY, May 14:

EU: The Foreign Affairs Council, chaired by EU High Representative Catherine Ashton, is expected to discuss Afghanistan, Syria, Ukraine, and the upcoming EU-Russia summit in St.Petersburg.

Iran/IAEA: A new round of talks between the International Atomic Energy Agency and Iran to be held in Vienna (to May 15).

Japan: World Uyghur Congress meeting begins in Tokyo (to May 17).

UN/Kosovo: UN Security Council is scheduled to hold a session on the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) in New York.


TUESDAY, May 15:

Bosnia-Herzegovina: Bosnian Foreign Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija visits the Czech Republic.

EU/Ukraine: EU-Ukraine Cooperation Council opens in Brussels.

Pakistan: The defense committee of the cabinet and cabinet meetings are scheduled to be held in Islamabad (to May 16).

Russia: A session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to be held in Moscow.

Russia: Moscow hosts an informal summit of the heads of the CIS countries.

UN/Bosnia-Herzegovina: UN Security Council is scheduled to hold a session on Bosnia-Herzegovina in New York.

WEDNESDAY, May 16:

Afghanistan/Germany: Afghan President Hamid Karzai is expected to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin.

Armenia: European Policy Center holds a discussion titled "Armenia After The Elections" in Brussels.

Azerbaijan: United Nations Special Rapporteur Anand Grover visits Azerbaijan to assess issues related to the realization of the right to health in the country, including specific human rights dimensions of health financing (to May 23).

Azerbaijan/Serbia: Azerbaijan-Serbia business forum opens in Baku.

Bosnia-Herzegovina: The trial of ex-Bosnian Serb wartime commander Ratko Mladic starts in The Hague.
