Czech University Opens Master's Degree Program In Russian Studies

Charles University in Prague has opened a master's degree program on the study of Russian and the former Soviet republics, the university in the Czech capital said on June 21. The Boris Nemtsov Master's Program will be conducted in Russian, with some subjects taught in English. Zhanna Nemtsova, co-director of the Nemtsov Academic Center at the university, said the program was established in response to the "destruction" of liberal arts education in Russia and a growing interest in the study of the region amid Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine.
