Kadyrov's Teenage Son Awarded 'Hero Of Chechnya' Medal

The 15-year-old son of the strongman leader of Russia’s Chechen Republic has been awarded the Hero of Chechnya medal, State Duma Deputy Adam Delimkhanov reported on Telegram on October 6. Adam Kadyrov, the son of Chechen head Ramzan Kadyrov, made headlines last month when video was released showing him beating a detained man who was accused of burning a Koran. Ramzan Kadyrov responded by saying he was proud of his son. Hero of Chechnya is the region’s highest honor and is bestowed by decree from the head of the region.
