The office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea says Russian-imposed authorities in the region have detained 180 citizens, including 117 Crimean Tatars, for politically motivated reasons. The office said 138 remain in custody while others have been found guilty and fined for offenses including discrediting Russia's army, having a Ukrainian state emblem as a tattoo, and dancing to a Ukrainian song. Since Russia seized Crimea in 2014, Russian authorities have prosecuted dozens of Crimean Tatars on various charges that rights organizations say have been trumped up.
