A Czech court has cleared the singer of a U.S. rock band of causing the death of a teenage fan during a concert in Prague.
Lamb of God lead singer Randy Blythe was charged with causing bodily harm with lethal consequences.
Blythe admitted to the court that he pushed the 19-year-old fan from the stage during the May 2010 concert. But he insisted he saw the teenager stand up again in the crowd.
The teen died from head injuries two weeks later.
Judge Tomas Kubovec ruled that the teen tried to get onstage because he misunderstood Blythe's call for more applause, which would have been "absolutely understandable for English speakers."
Prosecutors, who were demanding a five-year prison sentence for Blythe, have appealed the verdict.
