Russian media reports said one policeman was killed and another one was injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up in the capital of Russia's restive North Caucasus republic of Daghestan on May 10.
The reports said the bomber detonated explosives strapped his body when police tried to stop him to check his documents in Makhachkala.
The bomber was also killed in the blast.
Violent incidents occur almost daily in Russia's North Caucasus, nearly a decade after federal forces drove a separatist government from power in Chechnya.
Daghestan has seen some of the worst violence.
In the nearby Kabardino-Balkaria republic today, four alleged Islamist militants were killed by security forces.
