At least 23 people were killed and hundreds injured after an earthquake hit Pakistan's southwestern province of Balochistan, according to officials. The 5.9-magnitude quake struck early morning on October 7, leading to the collapse of roofs and walls of many of the mud-brick homes in which people slept. The worst-affected area appeared to be the remote mountainous district of Harnai, close to the epicenter, where hundreds have been left homeless.
