Detentions Accompany Another Day Of Protests In Belarus

Tens of thousands of Belarusians marched through the streets of the capital, Minsk, on September 13. It was the 36th consecutive day of rallies against authoritarian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka since he claimed victory in a disputed election on August 9. There was a heavy police presence at the event, and hundreds of protesters were detained.
