Devastation In Zaporizhzhya Following Russian Missile Attack

Russian missile strikes hit a residential area in the southeastern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhya on March 22. During the morning attack, Ukraine's largest dam was also hit and a power line at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear plant was temporarily severed.

The early morning missile strikes targeting Ukraine's infrastructure were responsible for the deaths of two people and many areas experienced blackouts.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said the assault involved 150 drones and missiles and once more appealed to Ukraine's allies to speed up deliveries of critically needed ammunition and weapons systems.

Emergency responders worked throughout the day to clear rubble.

Russia said the wave of strikes was in retaliation for a series of Ukrainian attacks on its border regions in recent weeks.
