Egyptian security officials say former President Hosni Mubarak has been slipping in and out of consciousness more than a week after he was transferred to a hospital inside the Cairo prison, where he is serving a life sentence.
Mubarak's wife and her two daughters-in-law reportedly were visiting Mubarak in the prison hospital on June 10.
Meanwhile, about 200 of Mubarak's supporters were in their second day of a protest calling for Mubarak to be transferred either to a military hospital or a private hospital.
Security officials and media report that the longtime Egyptian leader's health has deteriorated sharply since he was sent to the Torah prison after a judge convicted him on June 2 of complicity in the killings of protesters during the 2011 uprising that forced him out of power.
