Egypt's state media say the swearing-in ceremony of a new cabinet appointed after a reshuffle has been delayed for a day.
The ceremony, in which the ministers are to take their oaths of office in front of Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, leader of the ruling military council, had been scheduled to take place on July 18.
At least 15 ministers, or more than half the cabinet, are being replaced.
Protesters, who have been camped out in central Cairo for 10 days, rejected the new cabinet because it retained ministers they wanted sacked.
The military council has promised a parliamentary election in September with a presidential vote to follow.
