Five Russian citizens have been stranded at the Seoul airport after South Korean authorities rejected their requests for political asylum, local media reported on January 9. The five men fled Russia after they received conscription papers following Moscow's announcement of mobilization to the Kremlin's war in Ukraine. They say they do not want to go to the war and kill Ukrainians. They now are living at the airport while awaiting a court ruling on their appeals against the decision to refuse their asylum requests.
