U.S. authorities say five people have been killed in a workplace shooting near the city of Orlando, Florida.
Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings told reporters on June 5 that the gunman was a disgruntled former employee who was fired in April.
Demings said the gunman shot and killed himself.
He added that four people were killed at the scene, while a fifth died in hospital.
The sheriff said the shooting was not believed to have any link to terrorism.
He said the 45-year-old suspect, who has not yet been publicly identified, was involved in a previous workplace violence incident. He was not charged in that case.
Orlando was the site of a mass shooting by a gunman who killed 49 people in an attack at a gay nightclub in June 2016.
