Russian state-controlled gas giant Gazprom says it plans to increase supplies to Europe in 2012 to 154 billion cubic meters.
In 2011, the firm provided 150 billion cubic meters.
Concerning former Soviet countries, Gazprom said it planned to boost exports from 70 billion to 75 billion cubic meters in 2012.
The figures were presented on February 10 at an investors meeting in Moscow.
Gazprom official Aleksandr Medvedev said Russia is drawing 38 million cubic meters of gas per day from underground storage in Europe to maintain deliveries during the current cold snap.
He said Gazprom's access to storage facilities in European countries must be increased for Gazprom to meet its long-term export contracts, and called on European Union regulators to help to provide this access so there are no supply shortfalls.
