German Police Storm Cinema, Kill Armed Attacker

German police have shot dead an armed man who had barricaded himself inside a cinema in the town of Viernheim, near Frankfurt. According to some reports, the man opened fire and took hostages before police stormed in. At least 20 people were reported injured -- some apparently as the result of the release of tear gas inside the cinema. (Reuters)
