Protesters March Globally Against Corporate Greed

Protesters smash the window of a bank during a demonstration against corporate greed in downtown Rome on October 15.

Protestors have been marching worldwide to demonstrate against corporate greed and inequality.

In Europe, thousands of people demonstrated outside the European Central Bank's headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, while tens of thousands protested in Rome, where several cars were set ablaze and some banks were vandalized.

Many smaller scale protests were staged in other European capitals.

In New York, where the movement began, 70 protesters were arrested as they marched on Time Square.

The protests, inspired by America's "Occupy Wall Street" movement and Spain's "Indignants," are planned in more than 950 cities in 82 countries around the globe.
