Hollande Tells Rohani 'Every Support' Needed In Mideast

French President Francois Hollande has told Iranian President Hassan Rohani that "every support" is required to find political solutions to crises in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq.

Hollande spoke at the beginning of a 20-minute meeting at UN headquarters on September 23.

At the end of the talks, the French presidency said the two presidents "exchanged views on the way to combat terrorism" and discussed "means of bilateral cooperation which could begin when trust has been reestablished by a definitive agreement on the nuclear question."

Talks between Iran and six world powers have been stalled for months over Tehran's opposition to sharply reducing the size and output of centrifuges that can enrich uranium both to levels needed for reactor fuel or the core of nuclear warheads.
