The head of the United Nations nuclear watchdog and a senior Iranian negotiator are expected to hold talks on October 28, ahead of a new round of international talks on Iran’s atomic program.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said its director, Yukiya Amano, will meet with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi at the IAEA's Vienna headquarters.
The IAEA is seeking access to Iranian facilities, documents, and officials as part of its probe into alleged atomic weapons research by Iran.
Tehran denies any such activity.
The meeting will come ahead of the next round of international negotiations between Iran and six world powers scheduled for November 7-8 in Geneva.
A round of talks last week was welcomed by the West but failed to result in a breakthrough.
