Indian and Pakistani military officials have traded accusations over the recent deadly clashes in disputed Kashmir.
India's army chief accused Pakistan of planning a clash last week in which two Indian soldiers died.
General Bikram Singh on January 14 said the attack was "premeditated" and warned that India would be "aggressive and offensive in the face of provocation."
Pakistan denies its forces were responsible for the deaths.
It has accused Indian troops of killing two Pakistani soldiers in separate incidents last week along the Line of Control, a de facto border separating Indian and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.
The comments came as Indian and Pakistani military commanders met on January 14 along the border to defuse growing tensions.
But they failed to reach an agreement, with both sides accusing each other's armies of violating a 2003 cease-fire.
