Aerial images shot on October 1 showed the extent of the devastation after a tsunami hit the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, following a 7.5-magnitude earthquake on September 28. Palu, a city of about 350,000, was mostly reduced to rubble, with the death toll approaching 1,000 people. Authorities scrambled to ship fresh water and heavy machinery into the area and also readied mass graves in an effort to stave off disease. (No audio)
