Authorities in Russia's restive North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia say at least six Russian Interior Ministry toops have been killed and one injured in an attack on their military convoy.
Officials said troops have started a special operation to locate and detain the attackers following the ambush near Datykh in the district of Sunzha.
The state-run RIA Novosti news agency said the attackers set off explosions as the convoy was passing, then opened fire with guns and grenade launchers.
