An Iranian diplomat has denied allegations Tehran was involved in a bus bombing in Bulgaria that killed five Israeli tourists last year.
Gholamreza Bageri, Iran's envoy to Bulgaria, said on February 8 that Tehran "has nothing to do with this attack" and his country is "against any form of terrorism and strongly condemns such actions."
The comments follow an official Bulgarian report on February 5 that said investigators had "well-grounded reasons to suggest" two men suspected in the July 18 attack were members of the Iran-backed Lebanese Shi'ite Islamist group, Hizballah.
Israel and the United States have urged the European Union to add Hizballah to its list of terrorist organizations.
Both countries already list it as a terrorist organization.
Hizballah is part of the Lebanese government and has denied any role in the attack.
