Officials say Iran, the United States, and the European Union have begun an unscheduled second day of talks to discuss issues blocking a deal on Tehran's nuclear program ahead of a self-imposed November 24 deadline.
The meeting on November 10 came a day after Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, and EU envoy Catherine Ashton held more than five hours of talks in Oman.
The United States is one of of six global powers seeking a deal with that would eliminate concerns Iran could seek to develop a nuclear weapon and lead to the removal of U.N. and Western sanctions imposed on Tehran.
U.S. President Barack Obama said in an interview broadcast on November 9 that a "big gap" remained and a deal might not be reached.
