The son of former Iranian President Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has been released from prison after spending more than two months in detention.
The office of the Tehran prosecutor said Mehdi Hashemi Rafsanjani was released on bail late on December 16 following the completion of investigations.
He was arrested after flying into Tehran in September.
Rafsanjani has been accused of inciting unrest following the disputed 2009 Iranian presidential election.
He has spent the last three years in Britain.
Rafsanjani's daughter Faezeh is currently serving a six-month jail sentence for spreading antistate propaganda.
