Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi met with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on the last stop of Raisi's tour of Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba aimed at shoring up support among Latin American allies, which like Iran are saddled with U.S. sanctions. Raisi told reporters in Havana that Cuba and Iran would seek opportunities to work together in electricity generation, biotechnology, mining, and other areas.
