Suspected Iranian Bomber Wounded In Bangkok

Officials in Thailand say a man believed to be an Iranian national was seriously wounded when a device he was carrying exploded in one of a series of blasts in Bangkok.

Investigators said one of the blasts on February 14 blew off the legs of the suspect and wounded four other people.

Police said an identity card found nearby indicated the man could be of Iranian origin.

Israel's Defense Minister Ehud Barak said the explosion "proves once again that Iran and its proxies continue to perpetrate terror."

The blasts came one day after a bomb explosion targeted Israeli diplomats in India, and after another bomb targeting Israelis in Georgia was defused.

Israel has accused Iran and Lebanon's Hizballah militant group of orchestrating the attacks. Iran denied the allegations.
