Iran has won both the men's and women’s kabaddi title at the Asian Games in Jakarta.

Tehran's women's team defeated India 27-24 on August 24, one day after the Iranian men’s team stunned India by defeating the seven-time champion in the semifinals.

Late on the same day, the Iranian men’s team put an even more convincing end to India's dominance in the sport by clinching a gold medal with a lopsided 26-16 victory over South Korea in the final game of the event.

Kabaddi is a sport that combines aspects of tag and tackle with wrestling moves.
