At least ten people were killed in a car bomb attack in central Baghdad late on October 27. The explosion rocked a busy street of shops, hotels and restaurants. It followed an earlier suicide bombing south of the Iraqi capital that killed at least 24 people. The bombings came after Iraqi government and Shi'ite militia forces reported advances against Islamic State militants. (Reuters)
