A car bomb exploded in a Shi'ite neighborhood of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, early on October 2, killing at least 11 people and wounding 27. Security officials said three policemen were among the dead. The attack came as heavy fighting was continuing in Iraq's Anbar Province between government forces and militants of the Islamic State.
