At least 30 people are dead and some 45 wounded after a car bomb exploded in a crowded market northeast of Baghdad.
The blast occurred in Sadiyah, about 65 kilometers northeast of the Iraqi capital, in restive Diyala Province. It's the latest in a spate of attacks in the country as Iraq suffers through its worst wave of violence in five years.
Attacks have been on the upswing since April following a deadly security raid on a Sunni protest camp in the country's north. Almost 1,000 people were killed across the country in the month of October alone.
