At least 14 people are reported to have been killed in a series of bombings across Iraq.
In one of the blasts on August 25, four people were reported killed and dozens of others wounded when a suicide car bomber blew up his vehicle near a Shi'ite mosque in the southern city of Basra.
Other bomb attacks were reported in Fallujah, Karmah, and the capital, Baghdad.
Reports say some of the blasts appeared to have targeted Iraqi security forces, and The Associated Press reports a death toll of eight police officers and a soldier in those attacks.
The violence comes with U.S. troops preparing to leave Iraq by the end of December, in line with a security agreement between the Iraqi government and Washington.
