Pro-IS Hackers Threaten Heads Of Facebook, Twitter

A pro-Islamic State (IS) group of computer hackers, known as the Sons Caliphate Army, has threatened the chief executive officers of Facebook and Twitter for deleting accounts of IS supporters.

SITE, a cybersecurity group that monitors extremism on the Internet, said the threats were made in a 25-minute online propaganda video showing photographs of Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter's Jack Dorsey being sprayed with bullet holes.

The video includes a message, addressed to Zuckerberg and Dorsey, which complains about pro-IS militant Facebook and Twitter accounts being deleted.

The message says: "You are not in our league. If you close one account, we will take 10 in return and soon your names will be erased after we delete your sites."

The hacking group also claims it has compromised "more than 10,000" individual Facebook accounts, 150 Facebook groups, and the Twitter accounts of "more than 5,000" individuals -- often turning them over to IS sympathizers.
