Palestinian militants unleashed a series of shooting and stabbing attacks against Israelis on March 8 -- including a stabbing spree in the Mediterranean port city of Jaffa that killed an American tourist.
The Jaffa assault came as U.S. Vice President Joe Biden was meeting nearby with Israel’s former President Shimon Peres just a few hundred meters away at the Peres Center for Peace in Jaffa.
The American tourist was identified only as a male adult. His attacker also wounded six Israelis before he was shot and killed by Israeli forces.
A total of about a dozen Israelis, including civilians and police, were killed in the wave of attacks on March 8.
