Detentions Of Journalists Underscore 'Rapidly Deteriorating' Press Freedom In Kyrgyzstan

To mark World Press Freedom Day on May 3, the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has again called for the release of four Kyrgyz journalists who were detained in January and charged with inciting mass unrest. The journalists are all current or former employees of the online media group Temirov Live, which is known for its anti-corruption investigations.
