A British judge will decide today whether WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange can be released on bail.
A lower court ruled on December 14 that Assange, who has angered Washington by publishing secret diplomatic cables, could be freed on 200,000 pounds ($317,000) bail.
But he was returned to jail after prosecutors said they would appeal.
Sweden wants to question Assange over allegations of sexual misconduct.
Supporters of the 39-year-old Australian say the charges are trumped up and possibly politically motivated.
Assange turned himself in last week in London.
