Kadyrov Slams FBI For Killing Man Linked To Boston Bomber

Ibragim Todashev

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has accused the FBI of "killing without justification" a young ethnic Chechen thought to have ties to one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.

Kadyrov said that Ibragim Todashev was a "good boy" and his father, who works in the administration of the Chechen capital, Grozny, is a "decent man."

Kadyrov, who has been accused of human rights abuses, also accused U.S. and Western media of double standards.

Todashev was shot and killed in a confrontation with FBI agents on May 22 in Florida.

He reportedly was being questioned about an unsolved triple murder in Massachusetts in 2011 that authorities think Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev may have been involved in.

Tsarnaev was killed after the April 15 bombing.

His brother Dzokhar, also a suspect, was arrested.
