More than 3,000 students are scheduled to publicly express their love to the president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbaev.
The Astana-based Kazakh State University of Humanity and Law issued a statement on November 27 saying that the public action will take place on the university's Femida Square the next day.
The students will take part in the event devoted to First President’s Day, which is marked in Kazakhstan on December 1.
Nazarbaev has been ruling Kazakhstan since 1989. He has been criticized by domestic and international human rights organizations for a poor human rights situation, imprisonment of government critics, and pressure on political opponents and media in Kazakhstan.
