Russian Journalist Kevorkova's Home Searched

Russian media reported on May 6 that Moscow police searched the home of noted journalist Nadezhda Kevorkova as part of a case on justifying terrorism. An acquaintance of Kevorkova confirmed the reports to RFE/RL. Kevorkova is known for focusing on conflicts in the Caucasus, the Middle East, and Muslims' rights in Russia and abroad. There has been no official statement about the investigations launched against her. Kevorkova's former husband, Maksim Shevchenko, is a well-known political observer and politician.
