Thousands of demonstrators clashed with police in Pristina during a protest demanding the dismissal of a Serb minister accused of insulting Kosovo's ethnic Albanian majority. Dozens of people, including five police officers, were hurt in the clashes as police used tear gas to disperse the crowds. It was the latest in a series of protests calling for the sacking of Labor and Social Welfare Minister Aleksandar Jablanovic, who called a group of ethnic Albanians "savages" for trying to prevent Serbian pilgrims from visiting a monastery in western Kosovo. Jablanovic has since apologized. (RFE/RL's Balkan Service)
