Kyrgyz Nomad Fashion Show Mixes Ancient, Modern Designs

A creation from a student of the Kyrgyz Academy of Design Art presented during the Nomad Fashion Festival in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on August 10.  

Now in its fourth year, the event brings in international designers and fashion industry figures to review designs that incorporate Kyrgyzstan's millennia-old nomadic culture.

The World Nomad Fashion Festival is the first and only project in Central Asia that celebrates nomad civilization. It also shines a spotlight on Kyrgyzstan's fashion industry.
