Supporters Of Kyrgyz Ex-President Atambaev Call For Charges To Be Dropped

Former Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev addressed a rally in the capital, Bishkek, where his supporters had gathered to demand that charges against him be dropped. He is facing five counts of misconduct relating to his term in office from 2011-2017. Lawmakers voted to lift Atambaev's immunity on June 27, clearing the way for prosecution.
