Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov welcomed his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, echoing Beijing's position that Taiwan is “an inseparable part of China.” After a meeting of the two leaders on June 13, just ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek, Jeenbekov said they found "a common standpoint on the fight against three evils: terrorism, extremism, and separatism." He also presented Xi with a high Kyrgyz state award for his personal support in large-scale economic projects in Kyrgyzstan.
