Roads leading to Islamabad from the city of Lahore were blocked by shipping containers as Pakistan's government aimed to prevent a planned march on the capital by the banned Tehrik-e Labaik Party (TLP). Police were also deployed to stop the TLP demonstration related to a French magazine's caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad last year. Commuters from Islamabad's neighboring city of Rawalpindi struggled to get around the containers on motorbikes before continuing their journey into the capital on October 22.
