Russian Foreign Minister Visiting Eastern Kazakhstan

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has started a two-day visit to eastern Kazakhstan.

Lavrov arrived in the city of Oskemen, the capital of the Eastern Kazakhstan region, on August 6. He is expected to hold talks there with Kazakh Foreign Minister Erlan Idrisov.

The two will discuss bilateral ties, international and regional issues, the Eurasian integration process, and cooperation in the political, economic, and cultural spheres.

Lavrov is expected to visit Kazakh-Russian enterprises operating in Oskemen and the region, which borders with Russia's Altai Krai province and China's Xin Jiang Autonomous region.
