'Lex COVID': Hungary's Orban Accused Of Power Grab

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's plan to rule by decree to deal with the coronavirus crisis has been branded a power grab by opposition groups and human rights activists. The Council of Europe has warned against an "indefinite and uncontrolled state of emergency." Orban said it would give the government the means to organize Hungary's "self-defense."
