Macedonian Student Movement Protests Name Change

Hundreds of people have taken part in a rally organized by the student movement Young People For Macedonia to protest against changing Macedonia's official name to North Macedonia. The rally was held outside the Macedonian parliament in Skopje late on June 23 under the slogan: "Never north, always Macedonia." Protests have taken place both in Greece and Macedonia since the countries signed an agreement on changing Macedonia's name on June 17.
